This amazingly quick ‘autumn oats’ breakfast recipe is great if you’re short of time and is so versatile you can use most fruits especially ones that are in season, this version uses apples which you may have in your garden and fresh figs which are in season now.

Serves one.
40g jumbo oats
120g natural fat free Greek yogurt
1 fresh fig, chopped
1 large apple, peeled cored and chopped

Method
Place the oats into a medium bowl, cover with the yogurt, stir to combine and leave for 5 minutes.
Either place the fruit on top of the oats and yogurt and enjoy or put the fruit in a glass bowl and cook in the microwave for 5 minutes, leave to cool for 5 minutes and then tip over the oats and yogurt.
This is such a delicious nutritious and healthy breakfast and works so well if you have to take breakfast to work with you.
