Apple and Spice Smoothie Bowl

I love smoothie bowls and would usually have them chilled as a summertime breakfast. But it’s too cold this and my toes are already chilled so my bowlful of goodness this morning is best served at room temperature or you can even whizz in the microwave for a minute before adding your toppings.

Serves 1.

1 red (or green) apple, quartered, cored and chopped (save a ¼ for topping)
1 banana
25g rolled oats or quick oats
2 pitted medjool dates
½ tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch of ground ginger
Pinch of ground nutmeg
85ml skimmed milk, or any plant-based milk

Add all ingredients to your blender and blend until smooth.

Top with the apple and any other of your favourite toppings.
