About us…….

We’re two food loving, kitchen rocking, gin drinking ladies who met at Slimming World. It didn’t take many group sessions to work out that we were pretty much on the same wave length and a great friendship was born.

What we both really enjoyed, and what at first drew us together at our SW group, was the sharing of recipes, cooking tips and ‘know-how’. Knowing how to cook delicious and inspiring menus while still being able to lose weight (and help our husbands to lose weight too) was the key to our weight loss success. And it is also vital in keeping that weight off for good.

So when we were all ‘confined to barracks’ in this Covid19 Lockdown we decided to write a blog.

We want to continue supporting others who have been and are on a weight loss journey (and anyone else too) with recipe inspiration and cooking motivation during this lockdown period. We’ll show you how easy it is to convert recipes that have a high fat content to low or no fat, and how to make delicious desserts that are low sugar but still high in flavour.

The response so far has been immense so I think we’re on the right track. We believe that anyone can cook but sometimes they need just to be shown the way and to have a little motivation so all the recipes are also really very easy.

I’m sure that we’ll add more to this page once we’ve been released from ‘lock-down’ and can get together over a glass of gin (after all, the best writing is done when you’re slightly squiffy!!)
